Mistakes to Avoid While Dealing with Stains on Your Clothes
Stains on clothes are disappointing. They snatch the appeal of a garment and create a bad impression on others. So, people want to get rid of the stains before wearing that garment next time. Some people give the stained clothes to a laundromat service Sudz and some people try to remove the stains on their own. This blog is for those people who try to remove stains on their own. In this, blog, we will tell you about some common mistakes people make while dealing with stains.
Let’s get started.
Rubbing on the Stain
Most people drop a small amount of
detergent powder on the stained area and rub on the stain harshly. It is a
wrong approach. You should avoid it; otherwise, you will
damage the fabric. There is a chance, the stain may go, but the garment will
become unwearable. So, be harsh on the stain, but not on the garment. The
best way is, take water in a bucket, add two to three spoons of your detergent
powder to the bucket, stir water well, and soak the garment in the solution for
15-20 minutes. Thereafter, dab the stained area on your garment softly. The
stain should go. If it does not go, you can repeat the process.
Using Hot Water
Many people believe hot water is more
effective on stains. So, they use hot water to deal with stains, but they fail in
removing the stain. Do you know why? The reason is, hot water makes the stain
stubborn. So, you should use cold water in place of hot water. However, you can
use hot water after the stain goes to wash your garment.
Using A Big Amount of Stain Remover
Many people use stain removers to
remove stains from their clothes. But, they pour the product in a large amount
on the stain that causes disaster. So, before using a stain remover, read the
instructions properly and use that as per the instructions. Remember,
before applying the stain remover on the stained area, apply it somewhere at a
hidden part of the garment to see its effect. Does it only remove the stain or
cause the garment colour to fade? If it does not cause any damage to the
garment, you can use it.
Moreover, people deal with all types
of fabrics and stains in the same manner. This is the wrong approach. It
reduces garments’ life-span and makes them unwearable in a very short time. So,
you should decide the stain removal method and washing method based on the type
of fabric and stain.
